A large pheasant cage characterised part of the entrance courtyard to this mid-20th century brick house. Having fallen into disuse, the aviary area has long remained without a destination, with a high wall to the north and a brick curb to the south. The project aims to enhance this protected place by transforming it into an open-air room facing the party room. On the floor, large slabs of luserna from the time of the house’s construction, which have remained unused, alternate with an untreated larch planking. The metal structure, a reference to the previous aviary, is also a support for climbing plants.
Una grande gabbia per fagiani caratterizzava parte del cortile di accesso a questa casa in mattoni della metà del Novecento. Caduta in disuso, l’area della voliera è rimasta per lungo tempo senza una destinazione, con un alto muro a nord e un cordolo in mattoni a sud. Il progetto punta a valorizzare questo luogo protetto trasformandolo in una stanza a cielo aperto che fronteggia il locale adibito alle feste. A pavimento della grandi lastre di luserna, coeve alla costruzione della casa e rimaste inutilizzate, si alternano a un assito in larice non trattato. La struttura metallica, citazione della precedente voliera, è anche sostegno per le piante rampicanti.
