Introduction to the volume on the work of the Niimori and Jamison studio, which poses some questions and highlights new design approaches undertaken by the latest generations of Japanese architects, enriched by the transnational connotation of the studio composed of Yudai Niimori, Japanese, and James Jamison, Australian. Although the studio is in its infancy, it is possible to grasp certain strands of research: the antithesis of accuracy and ‘unfinished’, the testimony of previous epochs that are stratified in the new interventions, the absence of the architects’ personalisms, and the objective analysis of the site.
Introduzione al volume sul lavoro dello studio Niimori e Jamison, che pone alcune questioni e mette in luce nuove declinazioni progettuali intraprese dalle ultime generazioni di architetti giapponesi, arricchite dalla connotazione transnazionale dello studio composto da Yudai Niimori, giapponese, e James Jamison, australiano. Sebbene lo studio sia ai primi passi, è possibile cogliere alcuni filoni di ricerca: l’antitesi accuratezza e “non finito”, la testimonianza di epoche precedenti che si stratificano nei nuovi interventi, l’assenza di personalismi degli architetti, ovvero l’analisi oggettiva del sito.
